No Dial Tone Error

This error is given when you are using Belgacom PhoneMail™.  The standard continuous tone changes to a long tone broken by silences.

When you have a new message, the tone changes to a long tone broken by a series of short tones. Some modems do

not conform to IBPT standards and consequently cannot "pick up" the line when they "hear" one or other of these

tones. If this is the case, you need to adjust the settings on your modem so that there is no time delay before

connecting.

Open your control panel and double click on the 'Modem' icon.

 

Select the 'Modem' tab and click on 'Properties'.

 

Click on the 'Modem' tab and deselect the 'Wait for dial tone before dialing' box.

 

To finish and exit the process, click on 'OK' in the two boxes.
