How to Find Backed Up Outlook Folders

Summary

Your Outlook folders are stored on the C: drive in a hidden directory.

C:\Documents and Settings\<Your User Name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.pst

Follow these instructions to find the folders:

Open 'My Computer' and double click on the 'Local Disk (C:)' icon.

Double click on the 'Documents and Settings' icon.

Double click on the '<Your User Name>' icon.

You should see this view:

Select 'Tools' => Folder Options...'

Select the 'View' tab and select the 'Show hidden files and folders' radio button. Press 'Apply' and 'OK'.

You should now see this view:

Double click on the 'Local Settings' icon.

Double click on the 'Application Data' icon.

Double click on the 'Microsoft' icon.

Double click on the 'Outlook' icon.

You should see the outlook.pst file:
