Useful Keyboard Shortcuts

These shortcuts are used in most common Windows programs:
 

Ctrl A
This shortcut highlights/selects all of the text.

Ctrl C
Highlighted text is copied to the clipboard in preparation for pasting.

Ctrl D
This shortcut erases all highlighted text and images.

Ctrl E
This shortcut aligns text to the center.

Ctrl F
This command operates the find function.

Ctrl I
This command changes any highlighted text to Italic.

Ctrl L
This shortcut aligns text to the left.

Ctrl K
This command allows you to insert the link of your choice.

Ctrl N
Opens a new document or page.

Ctrl P
Allows you to print a document.

Ctrl R
This shortcut aligns text to the right.

Ctrl S
This shortcut saves the current document.

Ctrl U
Netscape: This shortcut lets you view the HTML page source.

Word: Underlines selected text

Ctrl V
This shortcut allows you to paste text that has been "copied" or "cut" to the clipboard.

Ctrl W
This shortcut closes an open window.

Ctrl Z
This shortcut undoes your last keyboard command.
