How to change the name of the registered owner of the computer

Click Start => Run

Type regedit

Win 98 & Win ME:

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion and right click the RegisteredOwner value. Choose Modify from the pop-up menu and enter the new value.

 

Win XP:

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion and right click the RegisteredOwner value. Choose Modify from the pop-up menu and enter the new value.
